Az
installáció három darab üveghasábból áll, és ezeknek
belső felületén helyezkednek el az átvilágított fotók,
melyek különféle testrészleteket mutatnak. Minden hasáb
oldalán kis fotó látható. Az egyiken egy makett-tabletta
fényképe, a másikon egy szőrrel vastagon borított női
torzó, a harmadikon pedig egy furcsa redőzetű ujjbegy.
Minden kép kétségek közt hagyja a nézőt afelől, hogy
milyen módon készült. Gondolhatunk digitális manipulációra,
gondolhatunk a való életben bekövetkezett furcsa elváltozásokra
vagy puszta trükkre is.

| The
installation comprises three glass columns, on the interior
surfaces transilluminated photographs of various parts
of the human body are placed. A small photo is visible
on the side of each column. One is the photo of a medical
model of a pill, the second is a female torso covered
with thick fur, while the third shows an unusually patterned
fingertip. The photos do not reveal the method of their
making;it is impossible for the viewer to decide whether
these are digitally manipulated images, or they depict
strange deformations due to real-life developments, or
whether they are merely trick shots. |

Tibor
Gyenis graduated from the Janus Pannonius University,
Pécs, Hungary in 1995. Between 1997 and 1999 he
worked in Berlin and currently lives and works in
Pécs. In 2000 he was awarded the Derkovits Scholarship
of the Hungarian Ministry of Culture. His major
solo exhibitions have taken place in Hungary. He
has participated in several group exhibitions both
internationally and in his native country.
